Godot 4 Tutorial Project Release


I made a tutorial series covering how to make the start of a Resource Gathering RPG in Godot 4 game similar to the Unity tutorial series. The series uses this pack in it's example showing how to create resource nodes, spawning pickup items, gathering them and adding resources to a player inventory, and showing resources in the inventory through a HUD display. Also I show how to have character with multiple sprites (one for the character body and one for the equipped tool at the same time), this makes setting up the animator a little more intricate but it can be done to make it easy to swap tools, weapons, or other equipment in the long run for such a game.

You can find the playlist for the series here. Download the course project from ResourceGatheringRPG_Godot4.zip and you can use it as the base for your own content, or simply explore the tutorial project to learn from example code.
